Due to a lot of the surrounding areas being rural, not all properties are serviced by mains natural gas. LPG and oil tank fed properties are common, working on these types of installation requires additional training and qualifications.

As well as natural gas, JMS Heating holds all the necessary qualifications to carry out work on LPG installations, whether that be in permanent housing, residential park homes or leisure accommodation vehicles.

Unfortunately nothing lasts forever, when a boiler finally comes to the end of its life, whether that be for safety reasons or due to parts no longer being available, choosing a reliable replacement can be a big decision!

There are a lot of different options available when replacing a boiler, whether it be a Combi or Conventional boiler on an open vented or sealed system, with a conventional or unvented cylinder, all these choices can at times be confusing.

At JMS heating you can discuss what options are available when you request a free quote, you are then free to make the decision that best suits your requirements. 

I also hold the relevant certifications to carry out electrical minor works covered by part P of the building regulations, this means that if you do not have an existing electrical power point for the boiler I can install and certify one for you. You do not need to hire/pay an electrician to do the work before the install.

As a landlord there is a legal requirement to have all gas appliances within a rented property checked for safety, this is recorded on a landlord safety certificate which must be renewed every year.

JMS heating are able to carry out your safety checks and provide your certificate, you will then receive a reminder before your certificate is due to expire, meaning that you can make sure you are always up to date.

Upgrading a Central heating system could be anything from installing an additional radiator to fitting the latest Smart controls, some upgrades can also help save you money on your fuel bills by improving the efficiency of your system.

Due to the different types of metals that are used in a central heating system, over time the water flowing through them can cause corrosion, one result of this process is what you may have heard referred to as "Sludge". This "Sludge" can be harmful to your central heating as when it builds up it starts to coat the insides of the system, this can result in cold spots on radiators, a noisy boiler, blocked pipework and can even reduce the lifespan of your boiler. The most effective way of removing this "Sludge" is to have the system Powerflushed, this involves adding chemicals to the system to break down the "Sludge" and then using Powerflush machine to flush through and clean the system one radiator at a time.

JMS Heating are able to offer Powerflushing to a high standard and on completion will also add a chemical inhibitor to prevent corrosion returning.
